March 8, 2022 – International Women’s Day started in 1911 to give women better working conditions and fight for their right to vote. Now, March 8 is a recognized global holiday to celebrate women for their social, economic, cultural, and political achievements, as well as to bring attention to issues such as gender equality, violence and abuse against women, and reproductive rights.
