MEET THE TEAM
Harmeet Jagde
Harmeet Jagde is a Punjabi-speaking articling student at Clark Woods. She is interested in exploring various practice areas, with a particular interest in family and employment law, as well as civil litigation, to assist ordinary people in navigating the legal system.
Harmeet obtained her Juris Doctor from Thompson Rivers University, Faculty of Law, where she was awarded the Dean’s Course Prize for achieving the highest standing in Ethical Lawyering.
Throughout law school, Harmeet was very involved in the legal community. She served on the executive teams of multiple associations in various capacities, including the TRU Law Sikh Students Association, which she helped establish. She also volunteered with the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program and Pro Bono Students Canada, providing free legal assistance to the underserved and researching and reporting on inclusivity initiatives in the legal profession, respectively.
Prior to law school, Harmeet completed her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Political Science at the University of British Columbia with Class 1 Standing. She also worked in family medicine in an administrative capacity, helping a diverse patient population access care through challenging circumstances.
Outside of work, Harmeet can be found at the beach or waiting for summer to come so she can go to the beach, curating home decor endlessly, and trying new restaurants (especially those in her hometown, Richmond, which is known for its cuisine scene).
